Luminous Talks is a partnership with Philips Lighting University that was created to foster critical debate in the lighting design industry. Each annual event takes on a single theme where top international researchers and practitioners offer individual presentations that are followed by a moderated panel discussion. This year’s theme is “Nature and Man-Made” which looks at recent technological development, its impact on society, opportunities with sustainable practices and the ever present need to consider human presence within the built world along with the potential disruption affiliated with our intrinsic ancestral affinities toward nature.
