EDGE HOUSE

Edge House is located in the Missouri Ozarks. The front facade is largely opaque to set up the arrival sequence – guests pass through the opaque entry where the panoramic views are slowly revealed through the expansive transparent back facade. The interior lighting reinforces this architectural asymmetry through indirect coves originating from the opaque “edge” which are complimented by strategically placed task lighting. A custom chandelier over the dining table reflects the surrounding scenery, altering its material presence through day and night. Nearly 200 custom luminaires are integrated with the three-story staircase, transcending this centerpiece into an architectural chandelier.
